Midtown Building
Pigmentprint on dibond 80x80cm.(ed.10* )2021 € 800,—
For practical reasons, I started drawing on the Apple iPad during my stay in New York. This resulted in an extensive series.
One of the works is ‘Midtown Building’. In the spirit of Andy Warhol, I looked for a certain repetition. The repetitiveness of the city. But the changing light as the day passes has always been a great inspiration for working with color. Inspired by Monet’s ‘Rouen Cathedral’, this 6 panel was ultimately created. For sale as a single work or as a series. Edition 10.
The drawing was made on the Apple iPad in Procreate. Procreate is an editor for digital creation.
Studio Wilcovak made the print. This is an Archival Pigment print. The pigments used have a very long shelf life and are extremely lightfast. This means that pigment prints are highly insensitive to light damage. The pigment inks currently have a 200 year benchmark for color.
The print is on Canson Infinity paper. It was then glued to dibond for a sturdy back.
Framed, this drawing has an edition of 10 pieces.
