Former Horticultural School Frederiksoord. New stage for contemporary art. North Now. A new initiative in Drenthe. Four exhibitions will be organized in 3 summer months (May 26 to August 14), with a total of 23 artists from all over the Netherlands. The second exhibition NoordNu#2 in the series of 4 will start on June 16. Beauty, art and decay. Martin de Jong; one of the initiators, has managed to attract a mixed group of artists for NoordNu#2. The different disciplines produce a combination that has never been seen before in Drenthe. You will find installations, videos and images in the many vacant spaces of the building. Specially made for the space or the space specially chosen for the work. The entrance and former canteen are reserved for, among other things, large and monumental painting work. The mix of dilapidated and renovated spaces contributes to the experience of the art. The result is a museum exhibition in a special location.
